About the Education Program
Mission of the Education Program
The OED Education Program helps learners develop awareness and skills necessary for advancing equity and diversity in all aspects of their personal and professional lives.
ECHO Co-facilitation Team
The ECHO program’s co-facilitation model consists of a team of interdisciplinary educators and leaders across the University of Minnesota system who co-create and co-facilitate ECHO curriculum and dialogue spaces. Centering inclusion and belonging as a shared endeavor with a common commitment to action and accountability, this approach creates what Samayoa and Nicolazzo (2017) refer to as the affect of collectivity , or “communal feelings of solidarity through which we can create microclimates of love and support and, as a result, find the strength and space to persist, thrive, and live amidst the rubble of the current post-truth regime” (p. 988). The collective co-facilitation model extends to the learning community and creates a sense of connection and communal responsibility within the ECHO program.
